The 2016 vintage began with significant winter rainfall (Livermore saw rainfall in January 2016 exceed that of January 2015 by 243%). Helping to recharge aquifers and wells, rainfall was also helpful in leaching out some of the dissolved solids that had accumulated during the drought.
The Estate Cabernet Sauvignon shows great balance of acidity, tannin, fruit, and wood even when young. This wine has gorgeous structure and will age beautifully for 15 – 20 years with proper storage.
Drink from 2020 – 2040.
2019 continues a string of three great vintages, starting with the iconic 2017. We harvested just over 1 ton of Sauvignon Blanc from our Estate Vineyard to make this wine.
Fresh citrus, fig, and melon flavors dominate a wine with beautiful acidity and great length. Fermented and aged in stainless steel.
